Sondagens Arqueológicas no Castro da Madalena (Vila Nova de Gaia) Notícia preliminar das Campanhas de 2020 e 2021

This article presents a summary of the results from archaeological campaigns which took place in 2020 and 2021, Castro Madalena, at Vila Nova de Gaia. The excavations this small Atlantic Iron Age settlement, allowed us to collect first data related dwelling structures adjacent areas. We highlight preferential use building materials such as clay, cob, grit, plant elements, differ more traditionally used stone elements. These ones emerge finishing element, suggesting existence mixed materials. Also, is particular interest evidence walkways, built with similar materials, surrounding houses. believe that further research will provide an important contribute increase knowledge internal organization regional settlements, prior Roman domain.
